BUILDing Cross-Chain Decentralized Computing
We are excited to announce that Charles Cao, the Founder of FilSwan, recently joined the Chainlink Toronto Meetup for a riveting fireside chat on May 4th, 2023. Charles introduced FilSwan’s newly incubated project, “Lagrange Dao,” in a conversation focused on the intricacies of building a cross-chain decentralized computing solution.
The event was moderated by Josh Azar, a Chainlink Labs team member, and was a major success. We received more than 110 registrations, and around 80+ attendees joined us for the fireside chat at Sweat and Tonic in Toronto.
During the fireside chat, Charles Cao shared his vision for Lagrange Dao while commenting that “Lagrange is the GitHub for Web3” and explained various features of the platform.
He also elaborated on how Chainlink’s industry-standard technology is playing an important role in building the platform:
“Chainlink services play a key role on our platform. Chainlink Functions enable FilSwan and Lagrange Dao to verify the dataset ownership. By integrating Chainlink Functions, we can fetch data from any API and provide users with many new features,” said Charles.
Charles explained that we cannot rely on Web2 companies to store and compute Web3 data and that we need secure Web3 infrastructure for storing the data transparently on the blockchain for the long term.
Charles also introduced how Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network provided FilSwan with a reliable and secure way to connect with different blockchain networks. As part of Chainlink BUILD, FilSwan receives access to new Chainlink product alpha and beta releases, dedicated technical support from the Chainlink ecosystem, and more. Being part of the Chainlink BUILD program supports FilSwan in building a highly scalable, secure, and efficient cross-chain decentralized storage and compute solution.
The event also included a networking session for the attendees to connect with each other and exchange ideas. The conversation was lively and informative, with many questions from the audience on topics ranging from the technical details of Lagrange Dao to business operations. We were impressed by the Toronto community’s level of engagement and the quality of the questions raised by the audience.
