Filecoin Web3 DataDao Hackathon Registration Underway
With the rapid construction of Web3, the distributed storage market has ushered in development opportunities. In order to accelerate the development of the Filecoin ecosystem, Filecoin Foundation, Orbit, and FilSwan are co-hosting a “Hackathon @Web3 DataDao” starting from July 4th.
This Hackathon will also be held concurrently with the Fil-Toronto Summit held in Toronto, Canada on July 4, and will introduce the Filecoin ecology, competition subjects, related tools, topics, and other related activities for participants. Meanwhile, the organizer will also provide support for outstanding teams and individuals in project promotion, AMA round table, project display, incubation, etc.
The Web3 DataDao Hackathon will offer a $50,000 bounty to teams or developers who develop in the following areas:
- Netdisk: provide decentralized storage services for projects using Filecoin or IPFS-related technologies
- Multi-Chain Storage with Filecoin Network: use FilSwan MCS toolkit to realize cross-chain storage, cross-chain payment, and other functions
- Decentralized Identifier (DID)

FilSwan Incentivized Proton Testnet Successfully Ended
The Incentivized Proton Testnet hosted by FilSwan was held from June 10th to June 16th. The event is aiming to test the performance of FilSwan’s Cross-Chain Storage (MCS). In order to incentivize users and storage service providers, FilSwan not only provided Fil and Datacap for the top 3 users and storage service providers respectively but also set 500,000 Swan credits for all community members participated.
According to the team’s statistics, the number of participants in this Proton Testnet reached 4,839, the total number of files uploaded is 298,461, and the number of orders received by storage service providers is 12,107, and the total file storage capacity amounted to 277759.51098728 G.
The Proton Testnet effectively verified parts of the parameters and performance of related software programs such as MCS v2.0, GO SWAN Provider 2.0.0.0-RC1, MCS API, etc., and meanwhile has provided valuable usage data and feedback for the team to upgrade and optimize the MCS and other related products.
Up to now, the list of the top 3 users and storage service providers as well as the scores and Swan credits of all participants in the FilSwan Proton Testnet have already been announced.

Two AMA events on FilSwan Proton Testnet
On June 8th, the founder of FilSwan, Charles, shared and discussed the topics related to the FilSwan Proton Testnet with community members.
This AMA activity mainly focused on the development progress of FilSwan, the introduction of MCS, the goal of the MCS Testnet, the prospect of the cross-chain storage market, and other topics of concern to community members.
The community members actively participated in this AMA and raised a lot of questions. The questions were answered by Charles one by one.
Besides, Charles also held a voice AMA on Twitter Space on June 9 and reviewed the previous Electron Testnet.

FilSwan was invited to participate in the largest tech innovation event in Europe — — VivaTech
The 6th Innovation and Technology Exhibition, the largest technology innovation event in Europe organized by VivaTech, was held at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Hall in Paris from June 15th to June 18th, French local time. FilSwan, as the season 4 member of the incubation program of Binance Labs and a promising infrastructure project of Web3, was invited to participate in this unprecedented innovation and technology exhibition.
Many influential figures in the industry, including CZ, founder of Binance, and Vitalik, founder of Ethereum, participated in this exhibition to discuss investment opportunities in emerging fields such as Web3, blockchain, NFT, and cryptocurrencies.
Charles, the founder of FilSwan, introduced FilSwan and its recent project progress and development direction, shared his thoughts on the current Web3 development prospects, and also communicated and discussed with other participants in the exhibition.
As the largest technology innovation event in Europe, this exhibition has attracted a large number of Internet giants, innovative tech companies, Internet start-ups, and companies in the fields of blockchain, Web3, AI, clean energy, etc. Participating in this exhibition helped FilSwan get further publicized, and increased the influence and popularity of the project.
FilSwan received donations in the 14th round of Gitcoin Grants
Gitcoin, an open-source software and community donation platform, started its 14th round of donations from June 8 to 23. FilSwan, as one of the donated projects, also participated in this event and accepted support from the public.
As of the end of the event, FilSwan has received a total of $4,381 worth of digital asset donations on the Gitcoin platform. Thanks to the community and friends who support FilSwan!

FilSwan shared Web3 data storage and application solutions at Fil Austin in Consensus 2022
On June 9, 2022, the annual Consensus was held this year in Austin, Texas, USA. The Consensus 2022 was hosted by CoinDesk from June 9 to 12.
The conference has attracted the participation of crypto industry leaders, project initiators, media practitioners, blockchain teams, and many encrypted KOLs from around the world. The number of participants at the conference exceeded 15,000, and more than 5,000 speakers attended and discussed topics such as Web3, Metaverse, DAO, and more.
As a distributed storage infrastructure builder in Web3, FilSwan also participated in this event. Charles, the founder of FilSwan, shared FilSwan’s recent development direction and achievements at the FIL Austin side event and invited everyone to participate in the FIL Toronto Summit on July 4th as well as the Hackathon in Tronto.

FilSwan has recently released and updated several software versions, namely:
- Allowing one Car file to be sent to multiple miners
- Merge small files submitted by users into a Car file, increasing the resource utilization efficiency
2. GO SWAN Client 2.0.0-RC1 and GO SWAN Provider 2.0.0-RC1
Compared with the Py version, the GO version of Swan-Client and Swan-Provider has improved stability, supports more complex application scenarios, and is friendly to the later maintenance process.
